Our Online End-of-Life Doula Training (Modules 1–8) and Funeral Celebrant Training Course have been thoughtfully designed to work beautifully together, offering you a complete and professional pathway into end-of-life care, planning, and ceremony.
Sacred Passage Online End-of-Life Doula Training
At the completion of Tutorial 8, you will receive a “Certificate of Attainment”, recognising the knowledge, skills, and personal growth you have achieved through our intensive End-of-Life Doula programme.
Created by an experienced educator, this online course provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment. You will be guided every step of the way, with your educator available by email and phone support (almost 24/7!).
This training is ideal for those who feel called to become end-of-life doulas, as well as health and care professionals seeking to deepen or expand their end-of-life practice.
You will have up to 12 months to complete the course and receive your Certificate of Attainment, or you may move through the 8 modules at your own pace, fitting study comfortably around your life.
Funeral Celebrant Training Course
Our Funeral Celebrant Training Course is delivered as a comprehensive downloadable PDF and includes six assessment tasks. Upon successful submission and completion of all assessments, you will receive a “Certificate of Attainment”.
This course will fully prepare you to plan, perform, and evaluate funeral and memorial services to industry standard, ensuring you are recognised as a professional within the funeral industry. It includes a wide range of sample services and readings for both adult and children’s services, providing you with practical tools and confidence from day one.
Throughout your training, your educator will be available to support you at all times, ensuring a rich, supported, and empowering learning experience.
Together, these two courses offer a powerful and compassionate foundation for those wishing to serve individuals, families, and communities at the most sacred moments of life.

ONLINE FUNERAL CELEBRANT COURSE
Our Online Funeral Celebrant Course instructs students to be able to prepare for and perform a funeral ceremony with the needs of the client family in mind and in a professional and respectful manner.
Some of the topics that will be covered are as follows:
- Client Communication techniques – accurate written and verbal instructions. Listening skills, grief awareness, empathy, confidentiality and respect will be highlighted.
- Designing a service that reflects the wishes of the family, with required elements of ritual and symbolism. Including writing and selecting appropriate material for presentation. Writing the service and writing a eulogy.
- Appropriate resource selection – words, poems, symbols and music
- Ability to relate to people from a range of social, cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds
- Working with funeral directors and other associated professionals within the required protocols.
- Adherence to professional dress standards. Ability to display dignity and solemnity.
- The order of service.
- Dual services – Chapel/Home and graveside.
Each participant will be given a Case Study to write a service for and then will be required to perform that ceremony for assessment via Zoom with your trainer.
